Mercure Northampton works to raise awareness of disability and trains its team to remove barriers and challenge stigma to build a culture where everyone flourishes. As a signatory of the ILO Global Business and Disability Charter, Accor group members actively work towards the prevention of discrimination and joined the Valuable 500 in 2021, explicitly adding the inclusion of people with disabilities as a goal in their roadmap.

Mercure Northampton is a keen supporter of organisations which support disabled people, including local mental health charity Northamptonshire Mind. It has hosted charity events, including fundraising afternoon teas, for Northamptonshire Mind and donated furniture to the charity for its Outreach Centre following the hotel’s £1.4 million refurbishment in 2024. Mercure Northampton also supports Northampton-based Café Track which ensures autistic adults have access to employment.
